How to get from the airport to the harbour of Piraeus

By Shuttle bus
Leaving the arrivals hall, you will find bus X96, which takes you straight to the Port of Piraeus. Every 15/ 20 minutes is a bus is leaving during the day and about every half hour at night. The bus stops several time on the way, the Piraeus harbour is about the last stop. The price of the ticket is € 8.00  and is valid for 24 hours. You may use this ticket on the bus, trolley bus or the metro. The trip will take from 60 minutes to 1 1/4 hour depending on the traffic! At the airport you can buy the ticket at the small ticket office located next to the bus stop. In Piraeus you buy the ticket also at the ticket office next to the bustop. After you have bought the ticket you have to validate it.

By metro
Leaving the arrival hall, you will pass the bridge to the metro station. Click here ( www.amel.gr) for more information.
By taxi
You can also take a taxi from the airport to Piraeus (to Gate G7). When leaving the airport, please make use of the taxi queue next to Door 3 of the Arrivals Level. Taking a taxi is mostly quicker than the bus (of course dependent on the traffic). Click here for the indicative taxi charges.

By rental car
You may also rent a car at the airport and drive to the Piraeus port.

HOW TO GET FROM PIRAEUS TO AEGINA-SOUVALA

Aegina is connected everyday to the port of Piraeus by sea.

The entrance to the Port is G7.

The distance is 40 to 80 minutes away, accordingly to the chosen way of transport.

On your arrival at Aegina’ s port, you can reach Souvala by bus, taxi or your own vehicle. The distance is 9 km away.

SOUVALA is the second bigger port (the first one is Aegina’ s) and is straightly connected to the port of Piraeus through the whole summer. Information for time tables in www.openseas.gr

The hotel XANTHIPPI is 3 minutes apart from Souvala’ s port, on foot, going towards Agious, the little Loutra’ s port. Our visitor has two choices – on foot, keeping on the left side of the port, walking up the stairs with the open sea at their left, a little before the little port of Loutra, or by car, following the main street left towards Agious.
