Location

The hotel XANTHIPPI is on the spot Loutra of Souvala in Aegina, in a seaside built-up area in a beautiful glade.
The name “Loutra” (Hot Springs) is being given to the location due to the existence of natural hot springs on the area, and the name “Souvala” comes from the Latin word “uvala”, which means “water cavity on the ground”.

Souvala is the second port of the island Aegina. For many years, it served as a seaport for the numerous commercial activities of the island.

They used to send grapes, must, figs and the famous Aeginian pots to Piraeus’ port.

The exploration of the whole island is easy, as in a small distance we find the Afaia’ s Temple (4 km), the Aghios Nektarios’ Temple (2 km) and the city of Aegina (9 km).

The Hotel XANTHIPPI is 300 m apart from the port, where you can find many taverns, bars and super markets, and only 50 m apart from the Loutra’ s beach.
